Where are they now? ESK Players in the news
Submitted by eskadmin on Wed, 2011-01-05 15:31

ESK Alum and CHHS Senior Evan Lanese is in the news in this month's Heights Observer. Gotta love the fact that he's wearing his CHHS Soccer Warmup while making his presentation! Leadership, confidence - qualities that ESK strives to encourage in our players. Evan has been accepted to CWRU and word is he's looking to join the soccer team there.

ESK U14s playing for the title!
Submitted by eskadmin on Fri, 2010-05-21 15:08

We have just scheduled the makeup date for the U14 Boys vs. Midview game. The Date is Wednesday, May 26th at 7pm at Canterbury Elementary School.

What makes this special is that ESK and Midview are now the only teams that can win the AASL U14 B Division. While there's a game left to play before Wednesday, right now Midview is 3 points behind ESK in the standings. If they were to beat ESK, they would win the division on the first tie breaker, Head-to-Head Record.

The ESK u14 Boys team was moved to the West Side AASL League for this season to find stronger competition, and has compiled a 6-0-1 Record with 18 goals scored and 1 goal conceded. They are the only undefeated team in the league, the only setback being a 0-0 tie at Rocky River.

We're looking to leverage home field advantage by having a home field crowd! Please come out and cheer our U14 boys on to victory, and hopefully see the victory celebration as the boys clinch the Division title!

A very good article, written by David Oliver Relin and found for us by our Girl's League Rep Gay Eyerman, about the role of parents in Kid's sports:

Who's Killing Kids Sports?
