Dear Eastside Kickers/HUSC Families:
We're happy to announce that our club’s yearly SoccerFest is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th in the gymnasium at the Cleveland Heights Community Center.
Now in its third year, this event is not only a great way to come together and have fun, but also to raise critical funds.
A planning meeting is set for Tuesday March 4 from 7-9 pm. Please RSVP Lisa Manzari at 320-1909 if you would like to help. The meeting address is 2830 Coleridge.
Our club is in dire need of soccer goals at many of our fields, so this fundraiser is more important than ever. This event also generates visibility for our club. Please mark your calendar and plan on coming!
We need your help in the following ways:
1. Donate auction items –
• restaurant or retail gift certificates
• sporting event tickets
• Concert, theatre or movie tickets,
• artwork, books
• themed baskets, autographed items
• spa certificates, haircuts, yoga classes
No item is too big or too small. Please contact Lisa Manzari at 320-1909.
2. Event sponsorships - Do you know a business person who would like to have more exposure to active families with kids in the age range of 7-12? Sponsorships are available for businesses or individuals. Sponsors will be recognized in promotional materials (posters, banners, t-shirts, press releases, etc.) Please contact Lisa Manzari at 320-1909
3. Volunteer at the event – please call Wendy Killeen at 932-7189 to help with setting up, selling tickets and merchandise, assisting with games, and/or cleanup.
We need at least 30 volunteers. Your help on April 26th would be greatly appreciated.
4. Volunteer weeks before and after the event: We have many opportunities for you to participate before the event: Gathering auction items, sending thank you notes, assembling auction items, writing descriptions, coordinating merchandise, Decoration assembly, raffle organizing. We can find a job to fit your schedule!
5. Team Baskets – every team will be asked to donate a basket to be auctioned off at the Silent Auction. Details will be forthcoming to your team manager. These were VERY popular last year. We have some fun themes planned this year.
6. Wii Raffle – a brand new wii entertainment system will be raffled at the event. The raffle tickets are $5 and you can sell them to your friends, family, neighbors, or colleagues. Tickets will also be for sale at the event. We are asking each player to sell a minimum of 5 tickets this year. Proceeds from the raffle will go directly to our scholarship program
We are looking forward to hearing from you! Remember, the East Side Kickers/Heights United Soccer Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization and your participation is critical to the success of our club.
Sincerely,
The Fundraising Committee of the ESK/HUSC Board
