Coen Scores Equalizer as Tigers Shock Croatia Clu

The Hts Tiger JV indoor team, in a goal-scoring slump and languishing toward the bottom of the table, stunned league leaders Croatia 6-5 Sunday, as ESK U14 player Ciaran Coen tied the match with a vicious strike that megged a defender and the keeper. Renee Silva got the win on a shoot-out after time expired.

Later on Sunday, the Tiger Girls, featuring ESK alums Allison Solaru, Karen Dean, Dana Gisser, Miriam Mitchener and Taylor Reynolds pulled the saem upset, dominating the previosuly unbeaten Croatian Girls squad 4-1, with Mitchener earning a hat trick and Reynold scoring the clincher.

The Hts 2B team, a mix of ESK U14s and Hts High girls, picked up a 6-3 win over Perry Sunday, as ESK U14 Paul Stroud, recently converetd to midfield, picked up a goal and assist, while the Wildey twins combined on the final goal, with Bennet rifling Eli's pefect wall pass past the keeper from just outside the box.

The Tiger Varsity Boys Team remained undefeated with a shutout victory over a grossly undermanned Grand Rivber Academy team. Several ESK alums, including Patrick White, Vant Lammers, Alexander Cross and Jacob Brubaker help anchor that squad.
