U11 Div. A Boys battle Mayfield to hard-fought tie
Submitted by brosenbaum on Monday, August 25, 2008 - 20:20

On a hot and humid afternoon, the U11-A boys team battled a tough green-and-white Mayfield team to a 2-2 tie.

Heights United's keeper for the first half, Will Meyer, was fearless, as usual, challenging the attacking Mayfield players and routinely risking collisions to collect and control the ball.

U10div1 boys beat archrivals Shaker!
Submitted by ckrus on Sunday, August 24, 2008 - 17:20

August 24, 2008, Forest Hill Park

In a warm and sunny season opener, the U10 division 1 boys, "Team Krus", beat Shaker by a score of 5-2, two goals coming from corner kicks! Goals were made by DeGaetano, Hogan (2), Coughlin and McConville. In what has become a team trademark, the boys out-maneuvered Shaker with their superior field positioning and ball control. "They can't score if they don't have the ball," Coach Krus says! Good game, lads!
