The Eastside Kickers U9 girls carried the momentum started by an undefeated regular season play by winning the 2017 Westlake Invitational.  Both the Black and Gold teams are undefeated this spring.  Playing a tough Avon team who is in Division I, the girls let a late lead slip away after dominating possession of the ball to walk away with a 3-3 tie.  They defeated Willoughby next 5-2 but gave up a last second fluke goal and missed two easy scoring opportunities that may have come back to haunt them in the tie breaker.  On Sunday, the girls came out firing against Michigan Impact U9 and dominated 7-1.  However, we had to wait and see the final score between Avon and Willoughby to determine our championship fate.  Avon only won 4-1 giving us a one goal lead in goal differential, sending us to the Championship against Division I Sylvania United.  After battling to a 1-1 first half tie, the girls used their speed and depth to wear down Sylvania by a final score of 5-2.

These girls do not have size but they are fast, determined and are really starting to play together.  This tournament team was coached by Joel Terman and Ryan Langan.  The team members included Brooklyn Langan, Sierra Terman, Molly Klug, Reiland Kostos, Alaina Longmeier, Lucy Thomas, Julia Bravo, Kyra Phinnessee, Stella Price, Aubrey Graves, and Aurielle Langan.
